The Costa Blanca can be divided into two major parts: Costa Blanca South and Costa Blanca North. The north includes towns like Benissa, Benitachell, Moraira, Calpe, Altea and L'Alfaz del Pi. The border - if there is one - is defined by Benidorm. The southern part of the Costa Blanca is then more likely to be Alicante, Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa. The northern part is generally more expensive than the southern part, with fewer large-scale new developments, but each location is different and each part has its own hotspots. From north to south, you are never far from the convenient AP-7 motorway.

Costa Blanca Zuid

Guardamar del Segura is the first coastal resort of significance south of Alicante, with a selection of purpose-built tourist residences, predominantly flats, many overlooking the vast beach. Inland from Guardamar you'll find Rojales. With some stunning projects. The real hotspot of Costa Blanca South is Orihuela Costa. Stunning new construction projects along 10 kilometres south of Torrevieja. Some of the best-known spots include Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Dehesa de Campoamor and the inland areas of Los Dolses and Villamartin.

Costa Blanca Zuid

Benidorm's skyscrapers loom large along the AP-7 motorway, marking the first major resort north of Alicante - Spain's tallest residential building, the Edificio Intempo, will be completed this year.
Over the years, Benidorm has lost none of its appeal as a colourful holiday hotspot. Calpe, with its unmissable Rock of Ifach, is the next popular resort, with an array of real estate along the coast and fanning out into the hills around it. After Calpe begins perhaps the most sought-after stretch of the Costa Blanca North coastline. Up to the picturesque resort of Moraira, pine-covered hills dotted with white villas end at the Med in low cliffs punctuated by small sandy coves.

Beyond Moraira, every property in the higher-lying areas of Benitachell and Cumbre del Sol offers incredible panoramic sea views, and beyond that you get to the pretty family resort of Jávea. Jávea is more family- and tourist-oriented than Moraira, and spread over three areas - the Pueblo, the Puerto and the Arenal beach area.
Moraira, on the other hand, has grown in a more controlled, organic way, from its original fishing village, which is still its heart. Moraira's residential areas fan out on the west or east side of the wooded valley behind it. A mix of villas, and small flats and townhouse complexes are on offer.
